This seems to be a very well constructed cable.
Only one thing to watch out for. If you're buying it to connect a Roku device, do not buy it. The Roku box is set up so the case of the box prevents the Mediabridge cable from seating and locking into the port. The sleeve of this optical cable extends flush to the second step of the plug and there is no room for that outer sleeve to get past the Roku case far enough to seat. This is a design flaw in the Roku device, so find a cable where the outer sleeve allows the second step of the plug to be bare, which is about a sixteenth of an inch farther back than on this cable.
